Why Choose Us - Our Commitment to Quality and Local Expertise

  • "We Aren't Just Pavers—We’re Court Specialists." Most paving companies treat a tennis court like a driveway. We don’t. We understand the science of the True Bounce, the importance of sub-surface drainage, and the specific friction requirements of professional-grade acrylic. When you hire us, you’re hiring experts who know the difference between a 1% and a 2% slope—and why it matters for your game.
  • "Built for the Finish, Engineered for the Foundation." A beautiful surface is useless if the ground beneath it shifts. We use a proprietary multi-layer system designed to withstand South African climate.
  • "Designed for the Athlete." We build courts that are easy on your joints and even better for your game.

🛠 Construction & Technical Questions

How much space do I need for a standard tennis court?

A standard regulation-size tennis court requires a footprint of 60' x 120' (7,200 square feet). This includes the out-of-bounds area (run-back and side-room) necessary for safe play.

How often should a tennis court be resurfaced?

For most residential and club courts, we recommend resurfacing every 5 to 7 years. This protects the underlying asphalt from water damage and restores the high-traction texture and vibrant color.

What is the difference between an asphalt and a concrete court?

Asphalt is generally more cost-effective initially but is prone to minor shifting and cracking over time. Post-tensioned concrete is the "gold standard"—it is more expensive but virtually eliminates structural cracking and offers a longer lifespan.

Can you fix the "birdbaths" (puddles) on my court?

Yes. During the resurfacing process, we perform a "flood test" to identify low spots. We use a specialized acrylic patch binder to level these areas so your court dries quickly after rain.

How long does it take to build a new court from scratch?

A typical "ground-up" construction project takes between 4 to 6 weeks, depending on weather conditions. This includes excavation, stone base installation, paving, a 14–21 day curing period for the asphalt, and the final surfacing.

Why are there cracks appearing on my court?

Cracks are usually caused by the expansion and contraction of the ground or the aging of the asphalt. We use professional-grade stress-relief membranes that bridge these cracks, preventing them from reappearing through the new surface.
